Back in 2014 when Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy swept the box office, we only had one lingering question: When would we get an Inhumans movie? We already know some major details about Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2including the casting of Kurt Russell as Star-Lord's dad, but it looks like that Inhumans movie is still way off in the distance. Marvel Studios' Inhumans has been removed from Disney's 2019 slate and has not yet been rescheduled.

Inhumans previously had a July 12, 2019 release date before Disney pulled it, Deadline reports. The Inhumans delay can probably be attributed to other movies that have earned spots on Marvel's release calendar, such as Spiderman: Homecoming on July 7, 2017 and Ant Man and The Wasp on July 6, 2018.

It seems that the next Indian Jones film, which has a July 19, 2019 release date—just one week after Inhumans' previously scheduled release—may be taking the spotlight away from the anticipated comic book adaptation.

The news about Inhumans delay is surely disappointing, especially when you consider how far away 2019 is. However, the film is apparently not dead, and it's just a matter of when Marvel will fire it back up. It's time to wait patiently for more updates about Inhumans, although the surplus of Marvel movies coming out in the near future should sate your superhero cravings.
