By now everyone and their great-grandmother’s will associate Bryan Cranston as the crystal meth cook and kingpin Walter White, so it’s a nice change of pace to seem him fighting the war against drugs in this trailer for his new film, The Infiltrator.

Directed by Brad Furman, the film is based on the true story of Federal Agent Robert Mazur (Cranston) as he goes deep undercover to infiltrate the drug trafficking ring of Pablo Escobar. Truly ‘Escobar season has returned’ (word to Nasty Nas), it seems the abundance of content regarding Columbia’s most (in)famous drug lord isn’t slowing anytime soon and this new film adds to another layer to his ever reaching influence during his height of power in 1986. Along for the ride is John Leguizamo, Amy Ryan and Diane Kruger, who goes undercover with Cranston posing as his wife.

The Infiltrator will be out in cinemas July 15 this year.
