Most of us have accepted the fact that we’ll never get to be a stowaway passenger on the Millennium Falcon – let alone pilot the bloody thing – so the next best thing we can hope for is to fly on these Star Wars-themed-ANA aircrafts. You might remember them being unveiled last year, but now it's been announced when they will actually be in service.
Modelled after the franchises two droids, R2-D2 and BB-8, the flights will be taking place in between March and April and will be flying domestic and international flights in-and-out of Japan. So If you happen to be dwelling in the 'Land of The Rising Sun', or planning on going there, during those months – or you’re just really really into Star Wars (we’re talking obsession levels here), this is the perfect once in a lifetime opportunity for you to fly on one of these jets
Please note that the flight will be long-AF because lightspeed still hasn’t been invented yet, nor will your captain be a scruffy looking nerf-herder with a walking carpet as his co-pilot. Also please don’t expect service droids to be one of your flight attendants, you'll have to do with the human-kind. However they will be wearing R2-D2 and BB-8 designed uniforms, so that's a plus right?
