Josh Bowman played a reformed party boy on Revenge and now he’s switching over to villainous territory in the pilot for ABC’s sci-fi drama Time After Time.
Deadline reports that the English actor will portray a man named John Stevenson who is a charismatic surgeon by day and Jack the Ripper by night. The news comes after Harry Potter, UnReal and Game of Thrones alum Freddie Stroma was cast as the lead, H.G. Wells.
Loosely based on the 1979 novel and movie of the same name, the series will follow the epic adventures of a young H.G. Wells. The original story chronicles Wells’ chase of the infamous serial killer, who uses the writer’s time machine to escape from his time period.
The show was created by Kevin Williamson who brought a number of other series to the small screen including CW Network’s The Vampire Diaries, CBS’ Stalker and Fox’s The Following.
