After a judge ruled that Kesha had to remain in her contract with longtime producer and alleged abuser Dr. Luke, many celebrities have spoken out to support the singer.

Kesha (Kesha Rose Sebert) sued songwriter-producer Dr. Luke (Lukasz Gottwald) last September, alleging he emotionally, physically, and sexually abused her for nearly a decade. The singer's injunction to be released from her contract with Dr. Luke was denied by a judge on Friday, who said there's "no evidence" of his abuse.

Sony Music Entertainment claims that if Kesha honors her contract, she won't have to work with Dr. Luke personally, according to the BBC. But the producer reportedly has the right to work on at least six songs on each of the singer's albums.

While many took to Twitter with the hashtag #FreeKesha to support the singer, some fans said it's up to celebrities to use their influence and call out rape culture.

Big names like Lady Gaga, Lorde, and Alessia Cara showed solidarity for Kesha. Singer Kelly Clarkson, who has worked with Dr. Luke in the past, also weighed in:

There are people all over the world who love you @KeshaRose. And I can say truly I am in awe of your bravery.
really disappointing to hear about this kesha case. no one should be denied freedom from their abuser, nor freedom of their creativity.
standing with @KeshaRose through this traumatic, deeply unfair time. send good vibes her way everyone
Trying 2 not say anything since I can't say anything nice about a person... so this is me not talking about Dr. Luke https://t.co/lLhtUHbmgG

Singer Demi Lovato vented her frustration about the fact that many women are not believed when they publicly identify as victims of sexual assault.

Frustrating to see women come forward with their past only to be shot down, not believed & disrespected for their bravery in taking action

Early Monday, Kesha's mother revealed that Taylor Swift donated $250,000 to Kesha's legal fees in a show of support.

Taylor Swift has just generously donated $250,000. to Kesha, as a show of support during this difficult time.AMAZING!!

While many female pop stars commented on the controversial verdict, some Twitter users noted that many men in the music industry remained silent.

Snoop Dogg was one of the first high-profile male musicians to support Kesha, tweeting a photo of Fiona Apple holding a sign that says, "Kesha, I am so angry for you."
