Ben Affleck is a Batman of many talents. He's an actor, a director—he can even count cards at a Las Vegas blackjack table. He also snagged his first Oscar way back in '97 for writing Good Will Hunting (along with Matt Damon), and has writing credits on The Town, and the upcoming Prohibition-era gangster flick Live By Night.
Taking all that into account, this story from US saying that Affleck took it upon himself to rewrite the parts of the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice script that he didn't like isn't all that unbelievable.
"Ben wasn’t thrilled with it and would find himself on multiple occasions fixing it the day of," an "insider source" told the celebrity gossip magazine.
That's not the part that's hilarious, though. The good part of the story is that BatFleck was supposedly hanging out in his Batsuit while he was typing away.
Affleck, the source said, “would go into wardrobe and get all suited up for the day in his Batman suit. Then he would sit around reworking the script."
It makes sense. Ever heard the saying, "When you look good, you feel good, and when you feel good, you do good"? Also, if you have access to a Batsuit, and you literally are Batman, why the hell wouldn't you spend as much time in it as possible?
Batman v Superman (which, by the way, will sort of be the first R-rated Batman movie) is set for a March 25 release. Pre-sale tickets will go on sale Feb. 29, with some already predicting the film is going to smash the March box office record.
