Hamilton was perhaps Broadway’s biggest musical in 2015 and it looks like a major network wants to get in on the action. NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt says they’d love to bring the production centering on founding father Alexander Hamilton to the small screen. It also helps that he has close ties to the popular musical.
"I'm very fortunate to be a personal investor in Hamilton," he told reporters, according to E! Online. "I'm friendly and close with all those producers and the creative team, and I think sure, we'd love to be able to film Hamilton in some capacity but I think it would be years before they even look at a movie or any kind of film version of that show."
For now, you’ll have to settle for trying to get tickets to the live shows on Broadway. That is, if you can get your hands on a pair. As for NBC, the network just announced that its next live production will be Hairspray.
