Though Leonardo DiCaprio should have easily amassed a dozen or so Oscars by now, dude hasn't landed a single one. To place that ridiculousness firmly in perspective, this means the god-level actor behind both The Aviator and Revolutionary Road doesn't have an Oscar. With The Revenant seemingly in possession of all possible Oscar stimulants, DiCaprio's path to more-than-earned Oscar glory may soon be coming to a close.

However, if battling bears and Tom Hardydoesn't do the trick, DiCaprio's choice for what to do next should certainly offer some critical assistance. "I would love to play [Vladimir Putin]," DiCaprio told Germany's Welt am Sonntag, as quoted by the Guardian. Adding that he found Putin to be a "very, very, very interesting" individual, DiCaprio also made a broader call for more films about the history of Putin's homeland. "I think there should be more films about Russian history because it has many stories worthy of Shakespeare," DiCaprio said. "That is fascinating for an actor. Lenin also would be an interesting role. I would like also to star as Rasputin."

Putin, who had the chance to meet DiCaprio at a 2010 event focused on saving the endangered Siberian tiger, reportedly once referred to the actor as a "real man." Miraculously enough, these Putin biopic hypotheticals don't mark the first Russian DiCaprio story this week. As previously reported, a second DiCaprio doppelgänger was recently discovered in Russia and he may or may not be Leonardo DiCaprio in an alternate universe.
