Lauren Cohan is just racking up the roles in highly-anticipated movies lately.

First we heard that the actress who plays Maggie on The Walking Deadwould appear as Tupac's first manager, Leila Steinberg, in All Eyez on Me. Now comes the news from ComicBook.com that she'll portray Martha Wayne, mother of Bruce Wayne aka Batman, in Batman v Superman

Cohan herself confirmed the casting news via Twitter.

Not that we're not happy for Cohan and all, but the news does reignite an important question about Batman v Superman: Why, oh why, do we have to have yet another flashback to Bruce Wayne's parents being murdered in an alleyway?

Hopefully this is the last time we'll have to commit this part of Batman's story to film—we all know the deal already.

Batman v Superman is set for release on March 25.
