Since Weeds went off the air, it seems like there hasn't really been another show that's main focus is pot. Sure, marijuana features heavily in tons of comedies like Broad City, but with the legalization for recreational use right around the corner (hopefully), it's surprising we don't have more marijuana-related shows.

That's all about to change. Funny guy Kevin Smith recently shot a pilot called Hollyweed, a workplace comedy that looks at a group of characters at a dispensary. Smith will play a clerk at a pot store who must team up with a group of people to stop the "neighboring cookie magnate."

While the comedy is still being shopped around, it does have the support of G-Pen, the well known vaporizer manufacturer. In addition to Hollyweed, there are a couple of other pot-themed shows in development. According to The AV Club, Chuck Lorre, the creator of Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory, has a weed show in development. Actors Margaret Cho and Adam Scott also have weed shows in the works.

While the stoner comedy has been a thing in film for years, it's about time that TV starts to capitalize on our country's love for weed and weed-induced shenanigans.
