Jimmy Fallon announced on Sunday afternoon that he is donating $10,000 to the ongoing Flint water crisis. The city of Flint, Mich. has been affected by lead-poisoned tap water, which doctors warned last fall could lower IQ permanently, among other side effects including organ damage, seizures, and memory loss. The city's water has been affected ever since they switched their source from Detroit to the Flint River in 2014 to save money, and that water has been contaminated when coming in contact with service lines and pipes. There is now an investigation for the lead poisoning that has been exposed to approximately 90,000 citizens.

In an effort to help Flint out of its serious water crisis, celebrities have been stepping up with donations. Meek Mill is doing his part to help out, Cher has donated 180,000 bottles of water to the city, and Pearl Jam and Big Sean have made big donations as well. The latest to join the good cause is Fallon, who announced on Sunday via Twitter that he was giving $10,000 to Flint.

Happy Sunday!! I'm donating $10,000 to https://t.co/JqAiRlCWrS. How about 10 friends match me? #WaterForFlint
