After two ranchers were convicted for arson in Harney County, Oregon, militiamen—including members of the notorious anti-government Bundy family—have taken over the Malheur Wildlife Refuge to protest. And not the peaceful kind of protest.
The Bundys, led by Cliven Bundy, a rancher who does not believe in the federal government and has waged multiple battles about his right to cattle graze in certain areas, decided to join the militiamen, who believe that the two men who committed arson should not be convicted and are being too severely punished.
In the video below, posted to Facebook by the Bundy Ranch, Cliven's son Ammon states that he and his family are not opposed to violence if the government tries to move the militiamen from the refuge.
Hopefully the situation doesn't go there, but who anything is possible when you're dealing with people who don't take the government's authority seriously.
