In an interesting drug pedaling twist, a Wisconsin woman was arrested this morning after she sold a baggie of crushed-up dog food to a police informant and called it heroinNew York Daily News reports that 22-year-old Megan Meyer also included a tablet of what she called Percocet (and what was really aspirin) to sweeten the deal.

Apparently back in November Meyer told the informant that she needed to get rid of the Percocet because her probation agent would be doing a home visit, and she also mentioned she had some heroin for sale. When she met with the informant on Nov. 18, she gave him a Ziploc bag that held a "folded-up piece of aluminum foil and a yellow round pill with no visible markings," which he promptly handed over to police.

When Meyer was arrested and asked if she'd ever sold drugs, she told police she'd "sold some fake stuff" to a man in November. Apparently she was mad at the informant because he'd stolen a car seat from her. As far as we know no one has ever injected themselves with crushed-up dog food, but it seems like a steep price to pay for a car seat. Meyer was arrested for selling imitation controlled substances and for bail jumping—if convicted, she could spend more than 15 years in prison.
