A Teen Decked the Spanish Prime Minister Right in the Face

It was like an episode of WWE's Raw.

We all know politics can get heated, but there’s almost never a reason to punch someone in the face. However, one teen didn’t believe this policy and sucker punched the Spanish prime minister during a campaign stop.

Mariano Rajoy was making an appearance in the city of Pontevedra on Wednesday when the teen struck, BuzzFeedreports. A witness says he approached the political leader, placed a hand on his shoulder like he was about to take a photo, and then hit him. According to Spanish newspaper El Païs, he was arrested after breaking Rajoy’s glasses with the punch. Security quickly pounced on him but the damage had been done.

The footage has been edited with wrestling commentary similar to Randy Orton’sRKO Outta Nowhere” meme and that time someone put WWE legend Jim Ross’s commentary over highlights from the Germany-Brazil match during FIFA’s 2014 World Cup.

Rajoy took to Twitter to let everyone know that he’s fine. “Heartfelt thanks for the displays of affection and solidarity I’ve received this afternoon,” he wrote. “Let’s keep working.”

Agradezco de corazón las muestras de afecto y solidaridad que me estáis haciendo llegar esta tarde. Sigamos trabajando. MR

It's unclear why the teen hit him in the first place.
