A man was arrested on a Lufthansa flight going from Frankfurt, Germany to Belgrade, Serbia after he tried opening a door on the plane. I guess he didn't realize that doors don't really open when you're midair

Apparently the guy kept banging on the plane's cockpit door and made threatening remarks about bringing the plane down if it wasn't opened for him. The brave crew and cabin members were able to restrain him for the remainder of the flight. Once they arrived in Belgrade he was arrested.

However, Lufthansa spokesperson Andreas Bartels said that it wasn't the cockpit door the man was trying to open. "It was a normal door, which of course cannot be opened in-flight, Bartels told the AFP news agency. "The safety of the flight was not jeopardized and the flight landed safely in Belgrade."

Regardless it's still a pretty scary situation. According to the Belgrade Blic, a Serbian handball team was onboard and helped with the situation.

"About halfway into the flight he tried to open a plane door, but the cabin crew stopped him," the president of the Vojvodina handball team Milan Djukic said. The guy was restrained in the front of the business section of the plane and two players watched him for the flight.
