Man Kills 6 in Texas Campsite Attack (UPDATE)

UPDATE 8:48 p.m.:

KYTX is reporting five of the victims were male and one of them was a child. Only three of the victims have been identified so far: Carl Johnson, Hannah Johnson and Thomas Kamp. The victims were reportedly members of two families, though not related to Hudson, visiting and staying in Kamp's travel trailer.

Authorities in Palestine, Texas have charged a man with murder for killing six people in a campsite attack over the weekend.

According to Anderson County Sheriff Greg Taylor, 33-year-old William Hudson was charged after the bodies of the six victims were found near Hudson’s residence in Anderson County. On Sunday authorities found the bodies of a man and a woman at in a travel trailer next to Hudson’s residence, where a campsite was located. Afterwards authorities discovered four dead men, who were believed to be missing, in a pond in Hudson’s backyard on Monday afternoon. Authorities said one woman survived.

As of now the Anderson County Sheriff’s department hasn’t released the names or ages of the victims. The department also hasn’t revealed the reason for the murders or how the victims were killed. 

Hudson is currently being held on $2.5 million bond.
