Hannibal Buress Thinks His Comedy Central Run Is Over

He's sort of OK with it.

Hannibal Buress doesn't think his show on Comedy Central will return for a second season, and he's OK with that. In the same level-headed tone with which he famously called out Bill Cosby, tried to get mad about Hawaiian shirts, and convinced people Obama was running for a third term, Buress told the New York Post that Why? With Hannibal Buress was likely a one-time thing.

"If I had to guess, I probably wouldn’t be doing that again," he said. "It was definitely some good moments, it definitely got better as the season flowed along, it got more comfortable. It wasn’t the ideal format for me. I don’t think I’ll be doing it again."

The mix of studio stand-up, man-on-the-street interviews, and pre-taped sketches might've been a little much for Buress' signature laid-back style. But Buress fans shouldn't worry—he still has plenty in the works. Along with telling the Post he's looking into more TV options, Burress is a staple on Broad City, has appeared on The Jim Gaffigan Show and The Eric Andre Show, and has a spot in the upcoming Daddy's Home, starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg.

When asked what would make fans see Daddy's Home this Christmas instead of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, an eternally chill Burress simply said, "The person who can’t decide between those is pretty indecisive about a lot of things."
