Scientists Discover Comet Emitting Beer And Sugar In Space

Comet found to be producing booze and sugar

None

It may sound like a storyline out of Futurama but scientists studying the Comet Lovejoy have recently discovered that it has been spewing an ample amount of alcohol and sugar in space, in report by NASA.

According to Nicolas Biver of the Paris Observatory  he said:

“We found that comet Lovejoy was releasing as much alcohol as in at least 500 bottles of wine every second during its peak activity”.

It’s the first time that studies have shown a comet projecting the same type of chemicals found in our pints and cocktails. Aside from the ethyl alcohol, Lovejoy is also emitting 21 different organic molecules in gas including a simple sugar called glycolaldehyde.

Basically whatever planet this comet crashes into it’s going end up with a booze and sugar filled atmosphere… so fun times for those lucky life forms (if you believe in that type of stuff). In the meantime, maybe NASA should seriously consider investing in a bar on Comet Lovejoy.
