Dana Griffin-Graves and Arkell Graves are going to be parents after suffering four miscarriages and delivering a stillborn baby at six months, Griffin-Graves told Buzzfeed. Trying for a baby took a toll on the couple and after a while they just gave up. “It was definitely a struggle,” Griffin-Graves told WRIC-TV. “ A roller coaster with emotions going back and forth. I got to the point where I was you know what, I want to stop trying.” And whuddya know? It happened!
After finding out she was five months pregnant during a trip to the doctor’s Griffin-Graves decided to surprise her husband with the news by telling him to look in the couple’s kitchen oven where he discovered buns and an ultrasound as she filmed him for the video, which. Graves’ immediate happiness soon turned to “tears of joy” as he later told WRIC, I’ve never been that excited before in my life.”
The Griffin-Graves baby, a boy, is due Feb. 16. Congratulations to the couple finding their happily ever after.
