A Conyers, Georgia man was driving his Rascal 300 motorized scooter through a Kroger grocery store parking lot this week when he was struck by an SUV – then things got worse.
The man, who police said was seen backing into an outside wall of the grocery store and driving over plants with the scooter, was arrested and charged with DUI, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
"I was out of medication, so I'd had me a drink," Danny Wayne Mitchell told a reporter from WSBTV. Police said the man admitted to taking Valium and downing a pint of liquor.
