Though they sadly forgot to consult John Oliver’s handy new fake quote generator prior to the broadcast, the esteemed journalists over at Fox & Friends recently spent a large chunk of time proposing a compellingbrain-numbing theory regarding Captain America: He’s out to get all the white conservatives. The F & F squad specifically references a recent comic book storyline in which the famed hero takes on an "evil" militia known as the Sons of the Serpent, a group self-tasked with patrolling the Mexican border.

"He’s got a new odd enemy," Clayton Morris offered, making note of the fact that this Captain America was in fact black. "Instead of going against Hydra and the typical Captain America villains, he’s going up against conservatives. That’s his new enemy." After (quite remarkably) no one in the room burst into uncontrollable laughter, the Captain America breakdown continued, as quoted by Raw Story:

"The [Serpent] is an American who has misgivings about unlimited illegal immigration and the costs associated with it," actual person Tucker Carlson reported. "And that, according to the comic book, is evil." In case you were wondering, Carlson also manages to squeeze in a quick Nazi Germany reference for good measure.
