Imagine that, following Apple's lucrative release of the iPhone 6S, you are now the proud owner of a new unbendablebro's gold device. You and your phone are in love—it goes everywhere with you and knows all your deepest secrets, like those three hours you spent Facebook creeping your ex. What's the smart thing to do with your new iPhone? Hold it between your thumb and forefinger and dangle it over a waterfall, of course. 

It sounds idiotic, but "extreme phone pinching," a new trend in which someone holds their phone—thumb and forefinger only—over a toilet or a storm drain or a balcony, and someone else takes a pictures of them doing it, is increasingly popularMashable reports. Apparently almost destroying a device that you depend on and for which you paid hundreds of dollars is an adrenaline rush? 

The term was coined by the band Twenty One Pilots, who posted a phone pinching video back in July:

And the trend quickly took off on Twitter, where people are dumbasses.

Whoever these people are, let's hope they have an unlimited number of iPhones.
