Is this the knock-down, drag-out beef futurists have been waiting for? During a recent chat with German publication Handelsblatt, Elon Musk had some decidedly less-than-kind words to share regarding Apple. By Musk's account, Apple's recent innovations might owe more to the Teslaempire than many might assume. "They have hired people we’ve fired," Musk claims. "We always jokingly call Apple the Tesla Graveyard. If you don’t make it at Tesla, you go work at Apple. I’m not kidding."

With the rumors surrounding Apple's expansion into the electric car industry growing stronger by the day, the Tesla mastermind implied that Apple might not have what it takes to truly compete. According to Mashable, Musk admitted that such an expansion was a "good idea" before adding that such an undertaking would prove far more difficult than "phones or smartwatches." Musk is also not a huge fan of the recently unveiled Apple Watch, judging by the laugh he reportedly paired with "Have you seen the Apple Watch?"

Let's not become actual supervillains, guys. There's plenty of room for more than one innovator in the race toward a sleeker and decidedly more united future.
