Audiences at New York Comic Con got their first look at the two most anticipated characters for Season 2 of Netflix's Daredevil when a short teaser showed both Elektra and The Punisher in action.
It was only a quick glimpse, but here's a description of the footage, which featured a sizzle reel of Season 1 scenes followed by some Season 2 footage.

The footage then cuts to quick shots of Matt in full Daredevil costume descending a stairwell; Foggy flanked by cops; new cast addition Elekra (Elodie Yung) pulling a fabric mask across the lower half of her face; Karen looking at an x-ray of a skull that looks suspiciously like The Punisher’s symbol; and Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), aka The Punisher, walking down a hospital corridor with a gun in hand as his voice ominously intones, “Beg.”
A high quality version of the teaser has yet to make it onto the Internet, although this cell phone video will give you a little taste.

Bernthal, who by the way is the perfect guy to play the antihero vigilante, is taking the role pretty seriously. Via IGN:
"I know how important this character is to you guys. And I know how important this show is to you guys," Bernthal said. "It’s a huge honor, a huge responsibility and I give you my absolute word I’ll give all that I have.” He also added (with a smile) that people 15-20 times a day people tell him on the street, "You better not mess this up, man!”
