They'll never make a 'Call Of Duty' movie that looks as sick as this.

Remember the Doom movie? It’s probably the worst film The Rock has ever made. There was however one sick scene where the camera went first-person, like the original videogame, and that almost redeemed it.

Now someone has made an entire movie like that, all from the hero’s perspective. Russian director Ilya Naishuller made a music video in that style a few years ago that went viral, and now he’s created Hardcore, a full length feature. The film features “you” as the lead character, waking up from a coma and trying to rescue “your” kidnapped wife in Moscow. But the plot doesn’t really matter, it’s all about recreating the feeling of Halo or Call Of Duty.

The trailer looks sick AF—there’s plenty of shoot-outs, car chases and fist fights. But will it be enough to sustain a full movie, and not give you motion sickness? Hardcore makes it debut at the Toronto International Film Festival, and should get a proper release soon.

Here’s the original short, if you’ve never seen it.
