In the mid 00s, Flight Of The Conchords made comedy song acceptable again and produced two amazing series for HBO. But since 2009, Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie have gone their separate ways,

Now however they’ve confirmed they are working on a movie. Speaking to Indiewire, Jermaine confirmed that they are trying to put together a big screen version. “We have actually started writing one,” he said. “But who knows if it will ever be made, we've written some notes for some different film ideas. We're not down to the stage where we're going, ‘The film is going to be like this,’ it could be this, this, this, this, this.”

Bret also confirmed in a separate interview, with Consequence of Sound, that they are planning a reunion tour. “We were planning on doing it this summer, but then I ended up doing The BFG[the Steven Spielberg-directed adaptation of Roald Dahl’s book] instead. So it’s my fault we didn’t do it this time. But we are hoping to announce a tour. We’ll announce it before the end of the year, hopefully, and then some time next year get on the road … after we get some new guitar strings and that sort of thing.”
