Watch the Intro for the Brand New 'Dragon Ball Super' Series

'Dragon Ball Super' airs in Japan on Fuji TV each Sunday morning, with no current news of an American release.

If you've been thirsting for a proper first look at the new Dragon Ball series entitled Dragon Ball Super, then you're (relatively) in luck. Dragon Ball Super, which features the much-hyped return of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, marks the first new DB series in 18 years. Though Dragon Ball GT ended in 1997, its enormous popularity in syndication eventually inspired two filmsDragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods and Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F.

Super continues the story of Resurrection F, with surely fan-approved returns from Vegeta, Goku, Master Roshi, Majin Buu, and Gotenks. Sadly, there are currently no active plans for an American release of Super — which debuted on Sunday via Fuji TV in Japan. Thankfully, the internet wastes little time in matters of Dragon Ball and has provided an admittedly brief glimpse of Super by uploading the show's intro.

Thus, the debate rages on — is Sailor Moontruly better than Dragon Ball Z?
