Washington state made $65 million in tax revenue from the sale of recreational marijuana in the last 12 months, according to new figures released by state officials. That revenue comes from $260 million from cannabis sales from June 2014 to June 2015, Business Insider reports. Retailers also reported selling more than 23,000 pounds of marijuana of the 31,000 grown in-state last year. 

It's been almost three years since the Evergreen State legalized the sale and consumption recreational marijuana. Data still pending on the number of puns that ballot measure inspired.
