Former Mayor of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania Stephen Reed has been hit with a list of theft, fraud and bribery charges. The ammount of corruption charges against him is a obviously black mark on American politics, but there’s one detail that’s caught our eye. According to Penn Live, he’s accused of using “the Harrisburg authority as a political ATM machine dispensing hundreds of thousands of dollars to help fund his star-crossed museum projects.” Apparently, he was well into buying Wild West memorabilia, and some of things he bought were insane.

And what exactly was he buying to put in those museums?

The revelations come as part of a grand jury investigation, announced by Attorney General Kathleen Kane, who said: “This is one of the most disturbing cases of public corruption this office has investigated. Mayor Reed used taxpayer money to further his own interests.” He sounds like the bad guy in an Indiana Jones film.
