After a three-month trial James Holmes has been found guilty of all 24 murder charges in the 2012 mass shooting at the Aurora, Colo. midnight premiere of The Dark Knight Rises. Holmes was charged with a total of 165 counts of murder and attempted murder. Twenty-four of the charges came from the 12 people he killed, and another 70 people were injured. It was up to the jury to determine if Holmes was mentally sane during the time of the massacre. Holmes plead guilty by reason of insanity.

The next step is the sentencing phase, which will determine if Holmes receives a life-sentence or the death penalty (which is legal in Colorado). A single guilty verdict for murder automatically made him eligible for the death penalty.

We'll update as more verdicts are announced.
