Christian Facebook Actually Exists And It's More Frightening Than You Think

FaceGloria bills itself as the "sin-free" alternative to sinful Facebook, banning drunken selfies and thirst traps.

Would (the Christian) God have a Facebook? Doubtful. In all fairness, he seems like more of a Twitter guy. Regardless, the founder of FaceGloria — billing itself as the sin-free Christian alternative to the sinful (I guess?) Facebook — seems to believe there's a god-sized hole currently enveloping all of social media.

"On Facebook you see a lot of violence and pornography," FaceGloria founder Atilla Barros tells AFP. "That's why we thought of creating a network where we could talk about God, love, and to spread his word. We want to be morally and technically better than Facebook." So, just how unfun is FaceGloria? Can you still employ your favorite profanity while sharing your favorite clips from Neil deGrasse Tyson's Cosmos reboot? Well, no.

According to the Mirror, the site employs a list of over 600 banned words. Also, any photographs of a remotely sexual nature are banned. LGBT-related posts? Banned. Likes? Also banned, though replaced with a laughably incongruent "Amen" button. The site (bizarre social experiment?) is currently only available in Portuguese, though the current plan is to go global as soon as such a move is feasible.

I'm sure Mike Huckabee is happily plucking his bass to such news.
