It’s not a good time to be in Alton Tower’s PR department. After last month’s horrific crash, another ride broke down yesterday. Thankfully it didn’t cause anything like the injuries like the crash did, but it still sounds like a horrible experience.
Rollercoast Air broke down, leaving people stuck hanging upside down for 20 minutes, on the hottest day of the year. If you were getting vexed by the heat yesterday, imagine if you were hanging face down in 35C heat. And if that wasn’t all, the monorail that transports guest around the park also stopped working, leaving 80 trapped in the carriages for more than an hour.
Never trust monorails. Have you learnt nothing from The Simpsons?
