Use Your Anger: That Wasn't An Original 'Star Wars' Script Found In New Brunswick

And just when we had a reason to visit the library.

Earlier this month, the Canadian Press got wind of an apparent OG Star Wars script. The treasure was reportedly in the hands of a university librarian in New Brunswick. While rummaging through the bookshelves at UNB, what would’ve been the luckiest dude ever, Kristian Brown, happened upon an unassuming paper booklet. When Brown sat down to read the thing, he appeared to be handling an authentic script that pre-dated the 1977 release of New Hope. Upon further investigation, the script had all of the workings of legitimacy. Naturally, we were all pretty stoked.

Well now, according to Buzzfeed, it appears as though we’ve been duped. Processing this info has the hate swelling in us. LucasFilm officials have revealed that the script is merely a replica. The news has us feeling like Han when he walked into the dining hall in Cloud City and saw Vader just chilling there. Like damn Lando, you’re really going to do that to us? Anyways the whole story bums us out. We don’t deserve to be let down by anything Star Wars related anymore. We need to start feeling like the Ewoks at the end of Return To The Jedi and not like the Gungans doing...whatever it is they do. To be honest, we're still trying to forget about those guys. Let’s hope our insane fandom is rewarded when Force Awakens opens this Christmas. Help us JJ Abrams, you're our only hope.
