With all eyes currently on Marvel in the wake of several gigantic announcements, The Amazing Spider-Man writer Dan Slott took advantage of the spotlight to reveal a treasure trove of details on the series' forthcoming relaunch. "Peter Parker has stepped up," Slott tells MTV News. "He’s grown. He’s become the Peter Parker we’ve always hoped he was going to be. This company, with Peter’s inventions and Peter’s gumption has gone to new heights."

The "company" in question is Parker Industries, a tech company with a financial status on par with Stark Industries or even Wayne Enterprises. In addition to his newfound business-driven fame, Parker can now count Spider-Man (see above) as his bodyguard — thrusting the image of Spidey onto lunch boxes, t-shirts, toys, and more. Fans will also be gifted with a new Spider-Mobile — a far cry from the original incarnation, which appeared in Amazing Spider-Man back in 1974:

As previously reported, Marvel recently announced that Miles Moraleswould become the new Spider-Man in the Spider-Man series — a respectable (though gravely delayed) move toward increasing diversity within the Marvel universe.
