Vacation has taken a page from 22 Jump Street's book and directly acknowledged Hollywood's often obnoxious obsession with sequels and reboots. The grown-up Rusty Griswold's (Ed Helms) wife and children don't share his enthusiasm about driving to Walley World to recreate his childhood vacation.

"I've never even heard of the original vacation," his son says.

"Doesn't matter," he replies. "The new vacation will stand on its own."

Judging by this spot, Griswold's promise will hold up. The film looks to be legitimately original and hilarious, using the original Vacation more as reference point and a source for meta jokes. Christina Applegate will play Rusty's wife, Leslie Mann will play Audrey Griswold, and Chevy Chase will reprise his role as Clark Griswold.

Vacation will hit theaters July 29.
