The second season of the hit Starz series Power is set to premiere on June 6, and there is no time like the present for diving back into the world of Ghost, Tasha, Tommy, and the rest of the Power squad. Starz has provided us with an in-depth recap of Season 1, but here are a few high points.
When we last saw James St. Patrick, aka Ghost, the nightlife impresario/drug kingpin had narrowly escaped an attempt on his life. The bullet missed James, but his nightclub, Truth, did not come out unscathed. Shots flying across the dance floor and innocent blood being spilled will tend to hurt attendance.
Unfortunately for Ghost, his personal life is no less complicated. His wife, Tasha, is worried that her husband is losing his grip, and has started looking out for number one. Meanwhile, Angela, his mistress, is a federal prosecutor, and would love nothing more than to put the man known as “Ghost” behind bars. If only she knew how close she was! There is drama galore with the rest of the crew, as well: Ghost’s lieutenant, Tommy, is starting to question his judgment, and former associate Kanan (played by executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson) is the one who ordered the hit on him—from prison!
Will Ghost regain control of his life and his business? Will he finally be able to put his life as a drug dealer behind him? Will his heart get the better of him when it comes to Angela? Can he find a way to remain loyal to Tommy and Tasha—and vice versa? Will Kanan finally ghost Ghost? The only way to find out is by tuning in to Starz on June 6 for the premiere of Power, Season 2.
