Video footage has emerged of a Kennesaw State University student being told that the police are being called as a result of him waiting to meet with his advisor:

— deray mckesson (@deray) May 14, 2015In the 30-second video, a woman can be seen telling student Kevin Bruce that he's committing an act of harassment. When Bruce contends that he isn't harassing anyone, she responds with, "Sitting here until someone is available is harassing them" before retreating to contact campus security.
Bruce posted these messages on Twitter, alleging that he's been dealing with this sort of treatment for some time now.

We are aware of the video and situation. Thanks for sharing your concern with us. A formal complaint process has begun.
— Kennesaw State (@kennesawstate) May 14, 2015Other Kennesaw State students took to Twitter with stories that are less extreme, but align with Bruce's allegation that the advisor is not that accommodating.

UPDATE: The adviser captured in the video, who has been identified as Abby Dawson, director of advising and internships in KSU's Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management, has been placed on leave, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Dawson will remain on leave while the school investigates this incident, which is expected to take up to two weeks.
