Authorities in Illinois are searching for a convicted murderer who reportedly escaped custody this morning after subduing a corrections officer, stealing his keys and uniform, and fleeing the facility his vehicle.
Kankakee County Sheriff's Office told CNN that Kamron Taylor was awaiting sentencing at the Jerome Combs Detention Center in Kankakee, Ill. following his recent murder conviction. According to NBC Chicago, Taylor made his escape around 3 a.m. this morning.
Taylor is considered to be armed and dangerous. This post will be updated as more details emerge.
