Until pretty recently, the iconic homes of celebrities were hardly anything more than myths to people like you and me. Tucked away in the canyons and hills of Los Angeles, these houses, like the one where Harry Houdini practiced escaping from a straightjacket while submerged in water, were more or less inaccessible. But not anymore—now we have drones.

Using these robotic flying devices—equipped with cameras, of course—we flew over some of the most famed houses in L.A. and captured a unique look at all of their nooks and crannies. Not that we were authorized to do such a thing, but let's just say no one came out of Walt Disney's house trying to put an end to our flyover (thankfully).

Check out the video above and get that bird's eye view of Hollywood real estate you never expected.
