Today in gratuitous reboots we have The Transporter, the Jason Statham series that ended in 2008 and spawned a series that lasted just two seasons. No one was clamoring for a revival, but here we are anyway with Ed Skrein as the new Frank Martin.
It's not that the trailer for The Transporter Refueled is bad, per se. It just doesn't look anything other than your standard fists flying, high-speed action flick. If writers Bill Collage and Adam Cooper were so set on doing an action thriller, why not just create a completely new one?
But whatever. There are plenty of outnumbered fights, sweet cars, and attractive women. And that'll be plenty enough for some.
