Before we know it the only people left at The Daily Show are going to be Jessica Williams and a janitor. And we'll be watching the janitor at the main desk since Williams doesn't want the hosting job.
Samantha Bee is following her husband, Jason Jones, in leaving the show for TBS. She'll host her own show on the network, in addition to the scripted series she's making with Jones about a family taking a road trip to Florida. It sounds like this newer gig will compete with The Daily Show. TBS describes it as a platform for Bee "to apply her smart and satirical point of view to current and relevant issues."
Somehow the question of who will replace Jon Stewart when he steps down just became more unclear. Stephen Colbert and John Oliver have also left Comedy Central, and we're pretty sure the aforementioned janitor is being recruited by AMC.
