New York City is in the midst of one of its coldest winters on record. But for a lot of New Yorkers, there is a different sort of chill in the air over a number of pressing issues plaguing the city. In a recent episode of The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, Larry welcomed the man in charge of keeping New York City afloat and meeting these matters head on—Mayor Bill de Blasio.

Since it’s not every day that a late-night host gets to sit down with his city’s highest executive, Larry decided to forgo his usual panel discussion so he and Mr. de Blasio could have a one-on-one conversation about all things NYC. And the two delved into quite a lot, from the city's truly troubling income inequality and high cost of housing, to the more sinister subway threat of "Man Spreading."

In the full interview, which you can watch with the link below, the mayor discusses what he views as New York’s "Tale of Two Cities" while Larry fields questions straight from concerned New Yorkers. As always, Larry has a lot of thoughts for his high caliber guest, and we have to say that the mayor handles himself quite capably too.
