"How far will you go to protect the ones you love?" Lately, if we see those words in a movie trailer, we expect Liam Neeson to be on the receiving end. But this time it's Owen Wilson—in the first trailer for the Asian-set protect-the-fam-at-all-costs flick, No Escape.

If Wilson seems like an odd candidate to be running around in a foreign country with a gun, throwing his daughter from a rooftop, and busting noses other than his own, you're forgetting the funnyman's modestly successful 2001 actioner Behind Enemy Lines. Whatever country Wilson and his family (including wifey Lake Bell) are in, it appears that behind those lines is where Wilson finds himself again. But this time he's a dad! The body count will be higher, and the snark count will be lower.

At least Wilson gets sage action advise from a former James Bond (Pierce Brosnan)—which is something that Neeson never needed. But hey, Wilson is American, and our American action stars are currently struggling to get a foothold without donning superhero spandex. We need all the UK whispers of how to protect a family that we can get right about now.

No Escape finds its way, safely to theaters on September 2nd.
