Eating a pot brownie is always a terrible idea for amateurs, but this story goes far beyond a bad high. A Brooklyn mom claims her 17-year-old daughter became partially paralyzed after eating a pot brownie.

Allison Buchanan also says her daughter, Danieel, unknowingly purchased the brownie from a fellow student, which reeks of blissfully ignorant mom syndrome. What high schooler really hits up a peer to buy baked goods without drugs in them?

After Danieel and two friends shared the brownie, she went to the hospital with high blood pressure and a racing heart. Allison says her daughter was unable to walk, sit up, or even eat or drink upon arriving home from the hospital. Now doctors are baffled.

The only drug found in her system was marijuana, likely ruling out a bad brownie. Doctors say they aren't sure if Danieel had an allergic reaction to marijuana, or if something else entirely has caused the partial paralysis. She's still in the hospital while they try to figure it out.
