In the wake of the Department of Justice's report on the discriminatory practices of the Ferguson Police Department, Michael Brown's family is planning to file a civil suit against the city. Brown, 18, was shot and killed by former Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson last August.
The DOJ also determined that Wilson will not face federal charges for killing Brown. According to CNN, attorney Daryl Parks said that Brown's family opposed the report:
They have accepted [Wilson's] self-defense, Parks told reporters. We do not accept his self-defense.
It's unknown when the lawsuit will be filed, but attorney Anthony Gray told CNN it should happen "very soon."
