Hopefully we didn't get all excited for nothing, because we all kind of lost our minds when news broke that Twin Peaks was coming back with nine new episodes on Showtime

Unfortunately, series creator David Lynch is starting to have doubts about the show coming back in 2016, according to a report from Welcome to Twin Peaks

First there was the vague statement at a Q&A in Australia where he was asked about the series' return and responded with, "I don't know. There are complications."

Just saw David Lynch speak at QPAC. He says he's "not sure" if the new Twin Peaks will definitely happen, as there are "complications".

Then, a clue as to what was going on from an interview on the Australian arts and culture show The Mix. Lynch was asked what it was like to return to the world of Twin Peaks, and responded, "I haven’t returned yet and we’re still working on the contract, but I love the world of Twin Peaks and I love those characters. And I think it will be very special to go back into that world."

Contract problems?! Seriously?? That's what's going to stop this from happening?
