A great many things can happen to you in Independence Township, Mich., a small town about 40 minutes outside of Detroit—like accidentally eating your teenage daughter's pot brownies and getting sent to the hospital.

A 58-year-old man had some brownies that his 17-year-old daughter had baked the night before, says a USA Today report, not realizing that the treats had been made with marijuana. The man thought he was having a stroke and called an ambulance—the daughter 'fessed up to her culinary misadventures once the police arrived.

As terrifying as that sounds, this is more terrifying: medical marijuana is legal in Michigan, but possession of any amount for those who don't qualify to have it is a misdemeanor. It's also punishable with jail time and fines up to $2000. USA Today says that it is unclear whether or not the teen would be charged with anything, but it is clear that she is totally grounded, young lady.

While the teens fate remains unknown, the father, whose name has not been released by officials, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Pontiac, Mich. The brownies, according to USA Today, were taken to a forensics lab for "analysis"—sure, a likely story.
