As part of the Broadcast Awards' 20th anniversary show The Office has been named the best program of the last 20 years.
The show that launched Ricky Gervais' career and led to a hugely successful US version was first broadcast in 2001 to the worst audience appreciation rating of any new BBC Two show that year. The show won the award after an audience vote that saw them beat Big Brother, Broadchurch, Gavin and Stacey and Life On Mars.
