A "Space Jam" Art Exhibition Is Open in NYC

Although you could never improve on the timeless work of art that is that masterpiece of '90s cinema Space Jam, a new art exhibition at gallery in New York has taken inspiration from it (haven't we all?). 

Los Angeles-based artist Devon Troy Strother's new work, heavily featuring Michael Jordan and other basketball references, is on display at the Marlborough Chelsea through Feb. 14. The gallery itself was turned into a basketball court for the exhibit, and also fitted with carpet depicting outer space.

Strother told Huffington Post that the idea originally (and hilariously) came from a more literal meaning of "space jam" when he found out he had only months to prepare the show. 

"It was that issue of having to deal with this huge space and what to jam into it," he said.
