Sharks, the most terrifying creatures in the ocean, have now become the most terrifying creatures on the Internet (narrowly supplanting the mouth-breathing basement dwellers known as 4channers). The gilled monsters have used their replenishing sets of murderous teeth to take down the Internet in Southeast Asia.
Underwater cables connecting the region have been damaged, leaving millions with slow or spotty connectivity. Experts say sharks may be to blame. The predators have been known to attack cables because they're attracted by the electromagnetic wave. Other theories posit that the sharks confuse the cables with fish or are simply curious assholes.
Regardless of the why, these sharks must be stopped. This is even more frightening than sharks with laser beams on their frickin' heads.
